Need a hand with Chatsoon? Start with the answers below. If you can't find what you need, email [email protected] and we'll get back to you. We usually reply within one business day.

Getting started

Open Chatsoon, enter your email address and type in the 6 digit code we send you. There's no password to remember. Then add your name to create your profile. You can add a photo, headline, company, role and links at any time.

How do I connect with someone?

  • You both have Chatsoon: open the My QR tab and let them scan it from the app, or tap Scan someone to scan theirs. You both get each other's card straight away.
  • They don't have the app: they can scan your QR code with their phone's camera. It opens your public profile at chatsoon.app, where they can save your contact card and send you their details with the Connect form. Their details land straight in your contacts.
  • Not in the same room: tap Share or Copy link on the My QR tab and send your profile link in any messaging app.

How do I scan a business card or badge?

Open the Add tab and tap Photograph a card or badge. Take a clear, well-lit photo of the business card or event badge. Chatsoon reads the details with AI and fills them in for you. Check them on the review screen, fix anything that's wrong, then save.

Tap Scan a QR code on the Add tab to scan QR codes from Telegram, LinkedIn or X, a digital business card (vCard) or a website link. Chatsoon turns them into a contact for you to review. Or tap Type it in to add someone by hand.

Does Chatsoon work offline?

Yes. At a busy venue with poor signal, you can still add contacts and take card photos. They're saved on your phone and sent automatically when you're back online. Card details are read once the photo has been sent, and your contact list refreshes when you reconnect.

How do tags, notes and priority work?

Open a contact to add tags such as Sponsor, Investor or Founder, write notes, set a priority from 1 (low) to 5 (top) and record the event where you met. You can create your own tags and delete the ones you don't need.

Search your contacts by name, company, tag or notes, or filter the list by tag. Tap a contact's links to message them on Telegram, email them, or open their LinkedIn or X profile.

How do I export my contacts?

Open the Me tab and tap Export contacts (CSV). Chatsoon creates a CSV file of all your contacts that you can open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, or import into another tool.

How do I delete my account?

Chatsoon is published by Moshi Concepts Inc. You can delete your Chatsoon account in any of these ways, even if you no longer have the app installed:

  • In the app: open the Me tab, tap Delete account and confirm.
  • Without the app: sign in at https://chatsoon.app with your email address, open the Me tab, tap Delete account and confirm.
  • By email: email [email protected] from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We will delete it within 30 days.
  • Deleting your account permanently deletes your account, profile, contacts, notes, tags, connections and photos, and it can't be undone. Your public profile link stops working immediately. Backups roll off within 30 days, technical logs are kept no more than 30 days, and copies of reports already sent to our moderation inbox may be kept until we finish reviewing them. Contacts other people saved about you stay in their accounts. If you want to keep your contacts, export them first.

How do I report or block someone?

In the app, open their profile, or their contact if you're connected, and tap Report or Block. On the web, use the Report profile link on any public profile. You don't need an account to report.

A message someone sent you with the Connect form on your public page comes from a person without an account. Open it in Contacts and tap Report, then delete it if you don't want it.

We review every report within 24 hours and remove content and users that break our Terms of Use.
